When they return, they are pre-conditioned to not explore the long-term benefits of home ownership which include appreciation that has run 6.2 percent annually, according to the National Association of Realtors, over the last 25 years. We also have an obligation in our industry to educate buyers and sellers that they move for lifestyle reasons and to view their home as a home, not a winning lottery ticket.” Gillespie joined Coldwell Banker Holtzman, Realtors at the firm’s annual awards dinner held at The First City Club in Savannah.
